Andell McCoy's abstract acrylics are an exciting blend of vibrant color, playful patterns and movement. She is an emerging, self-taught artist who believes that art connects, and heals us.  As with her poetry she works intuitively; willing to be fully present and open to new ideas as they surface in the moment; her pieces are spontaneous.  Through expressive arts, teaching, life coaching and council facilitation, Andell McCoy inspires engagement, enrichment and empowerment. Her work on canvas and paper are fun experiences which she invites you to share.  Enjoy!

Andell McCoy lives in North Carolina.  She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications; and attended Howard University Law School; however she and law school were not compatible. Subsequently, Andell moved to Los Angeles, more specifically Venice Beach. While in Los Angeles she obtained a Master's Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Phillips Graduate University in Los Angeles.  She is a UCLA Writing Project Fellow. Her work experience includes: Teaching, counseling and council facilitation.
